Welcome to the ebookers Blog.

This month finds us platypus watching in Australia and exploring caves in Oman. We travel with toddlers in tow and do some deep see fishing while in the area. We pampered ourselves on a cruise.. and then finish up on a small island in the Indian Ocean.

  Talinn

Let me tell you about Tallinn. Not only because it is my humble home town, but because I actually like it. And I do not want you to miss out on the Big Experience if you have not been there yet.

Google search will tell you it is a capital of Estonia, situated in the North-East corner of Europe, on the coast of the Baltic Sea. It gets very cold in winter and quite hot in summer. The best time to visit – all year round.

The best way to get there is by plane, of course. Easyjet and Estonian Air (www.estonian-air.ee) fly regularly from the UK and Germany, SAS and Finnair from Scandinavia. If you are visiting Sweden or Finland, you might want to include Tallinn in your itinerary as a daytrip, as there are good ferry connections from Sto

Why North America?
I almost always choose North America over Europe for skiing and there are some key reasons; price, hospitality, and quality. Price may seem odd but to my mind getting there is only part of it. The cost of food and accommodation in Europe is so much higher than in North America especially with the strength of the pound over the dollar. I am strongly of the belief that when this is accounted for the price is actually very similar, and depending on ho

Lillehammer, Norway

Loved:
Atmosphere
Scenery
Skidoo’s
Nightlife
Excursions

Not so good:

Nothing
I flew from Dublin to Oslo with SAS direct. It took us just over three hours to fly into Oslo. SAS fly daily so you can go for a long weekend or as many days as you like. This is the nearest airport to Lillehammer. From Oslo to Lillehammer there are excellent train connections departing close to every hour.  I found this to be very convenient as the train is located uunderneath the airport. You can purchase your tickets online at www.nsb.no before you leave and they cost roughly €75 return. The train itself is very clean and each passenger receives a fleece
